Retirement Flight: Delta Air Lines MD-88 Pittsburgh to Atlanta (PIT-ATL)
Hey guys! After 2 1/2 months of “quarantining” at home and not flying at all due to COVID-19, it was a retirement flight aboard the 2nd to last MD-88 that finally broke that long home stay. Welcome to my first retirement flight on the channel and though it wasn’t the official last flight (which was from Washington-Dulles), it still was an amazing experience! I just couldn’t pass up the one from my hometown, even though I would’ve loved to have done DL88. Along with the flight itself, getting to see so many people down in Atlanta that actually have the same interest as me was super cool and I can’t wait to do something like this again! As far as my flight, I think between the PIT ground crew, my pilots, and most of my FAs…I had some of the nicest people working DL2375. They were all just as excited as I was sending off the 2nd to last MD-88 and made the most of it. I always put Delta’s employees at the top in the U.S. and this flight totally showed me I was right. EXCEPT for one FA who I honestly thought didn’t even care for the festivities and just wanted to get the flight over with. I think I’ve made my point pretty clear in the video with her and you can make up your minds for yourself what you think. Also, Delta went above and beyond arranging a ramp tour of DL88 in Atlanta and let me tour DL90 as well which can be found in my other video linked below. Hope you guys enjoy this special flight!
